I forgot about the chicken that was not a chicken. I will admit parts of the later books that I read were failing in quality compared to the earlier ones, but I still enjoyed them until the eighth book. I actually had to put the eighth book down for a few months before I could finally work up the motivation to finish it, something that I can say I've never really done before.
