Tor's Malazan Reread Jragghen Send a noteboard - 02/06/2011 12:04:50 AM
So, I've been rereading my way through Malazan now that the final book is out (just about finished with Toll the Hounds for the second time, and then I'll be cracking open Dust of Dreams for the first time), and while discussing the books on another forum, someone linked to the page I've linked below - a week-by-week reread of the Malazan books with two folks writing for Tor, where they take two chapters (or one, for the longer ones) a week, starting from the first book, and post summaries of each scenes and reactions from someone reading for the first time, and someone on a reread. At the end of each book, there's a Q&A session with Erikson or Esslemont, as the case may be.

This may be old hat to some of you, but I've been reading through them and they're actually quite excellent - just thought I'd share, on the off chance that it hadn't been mentioned around here, too.

(Also, in case you hadn't heard, some stuff gleaned from the Q&As: Orb, Sceptre, Throne is the name of ICE's next book, it's finished and is due out next January, and deals with Darujhistan. His fifth novel will deal with Karsa. Erikson's next book is titled The Forge of Darkness and is the first in a trilogy dealing with Kharkanas).

Anyway, if it's new to anyone else, enjoy. I most certainly am.
