For my fantasy, I read The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson. For my spec fic, I read Obsessed by Ted Dekker. And for my sci-fi, I read Old Man's War by John Scalzi.

How was the Scalzi? I've heard lots about it, but don't know anyone who's read it!


I thought it was a rather common read these days. It is a fairly good book, nice concepts and all that, but in the end it is not a masterpiece. Think sci-fi immortality meets starship troopers... Or something like that.
