For anyone who's interested! Audio will be available after the show has been aired, for those of you who want to listen but can't listen live. I'm not going to comment on the "American Tolkien" bit. 
George R. R. Martin started out in science fiction, moved to medieval fantasy, wrote the book behind the HBO series “Game of Thrones,” and was knighted “the American Tolkien” by Time magazine.
Then the bearded epic-spinner retreated to his New Mexico redoubt and took six years to produce the fifth installment in his great tale of kings and queens and flawed humanity.
Impatient readers laid siege online. Now, he’s thrown the book over the wall. “A Dance with Dragons.”
It’s out today. And he’s with us.
