Eh? - Edit 1

Before modification by Elaine at 29/07/2011 04:45:08 PM

I will start, Lord Jon Connington being gay for Rhaegar and not merely worshiping him as his best friend / brother in arms.

Aside, I can't believe I missed this. I had Renly and Loras pegged in about ten seconds.

The Freys being cooked in Lord Manderly's pie.

Again, to my shame, I didn't cop it, though I did realise there was something up with the pies. My excuse is that I was half-cut at the time.

Theon being castrated by Ramsay.

Got that one.

Brandon Stark likely being the father of Ashara's child.

And that. I like this whole Brandon-is-a-bit-of-an-arse development.

The boy Lyanna beats in the weirwood vision being Benjen.

Yep.

Shaggydog killing a unicorn on Skagos in Jon's wolf-dream.

Can't say I noticed that and I'm rereading now. I'd better look at that chapter again.

The Dothraki sea being the sea drying out from Mirri Maz Duur's prophecy.

Nope.

Ser Patrek's sigil being the bleeding star under which Azhor Azhai will be reborn (so much for the comet).

Also no.

I am thoroughly ashamed of myself for missing Dany miscarrying as well. It's so obvious. I was a bit plastered though so perhaps I'll forgive myself.

Things I caught that some other people seemed to miss:

Tyrion and Jorah's ship being the 'perfumed seneschal' from Quaithe's prophecy.

Got that one.

Blackwood's son indicating that something is really, really wrong with Westeros' history and dates (reinforcing Samwell's earlier comments in ASoS-AFFC).

Yep.

Elia being unable to bear a third child, making R+L=J almost certain.

And this. I'm starting to feel a bit smarter now.

Melisandre seeing Brynden's face in her vision.

Yep. I was so thrilled when he showed up in Bran's second (?)chapter, I actually gasped :D

Rickon and Osha being on Skagos (not sure why a lot of people think they're on the Neck; Skagos is the only place where we know cannibals live).

Yeah, I say Skagos also. Plus, people, Davos is a sailor. Who the hell else do you send to an island?

The connections between Bran's weirwood visions, the new info we have on Elia and Lyanna and how they tie into the Reeds' story about the Harrenhal tourney.

In the quiet words of the Virgin Mary, come again?
