I love YA books to distraction. Some really fresh, fun writers doing YA! *NM*

Go pick up older kids books or young adult books. I keep around all my Tamora Pierce books set in Tortall just for this reason...light fun reading.
I know it's not "Real literature" to most people here, but if all you want is something light and fun to read...well that's what most of that grade of literature is written for.
Honestly, when all I want to do is read something ridiculous, light, fun....I would pull out my mom's classroom books (she taught 1st graders, had up through about 5th grade reading books)...
Laugh at me all you want, but the Boxcar Children books are fucking classics....
You also power through them, so you feel like you were SUPER productive

There is actually a book called that: Reader's Block. But it is not fun and simple.

Wilde, Pratchett or something similarly humourous and witty usually helps me at that point. *NM*
