I mean, they weren't marching around a bonfire and casting the book into it at the same time as the Volksgericht was trying people and sentencing them to death for possessing a copy...
When I think of books being banned, I think of legally binding acts. Stupid school district decisions do not affect the ability of children to get books if their parents disagree with the district's decision. Yes, some kids with stupid parents will lose out until they start living on their own, but it's not like the book is unavailable.
