I still don't mind reading some of the earlier ones

The nostalgia factor is pretty strong some times
And, for what the books are intended to be, they were pretty good and the aliens she came up with were interesting.
Eventually, she lost me as a reader when things were getting a little ridiculous (both plotwise and the sheer number of books I had to keep up with). I almost wish I'd stuck with it because they seemed to have improved towards the end. But then I heard some spoilers about the ending and I'm glad I didn't.
Honestly, though, her two Chronicle supplements are my favorites.

So... who wants to read a blog that reviews and mocks the old Animorphs books?

There were 54 "regular" books. Books, say... 25-40? vary in quality a lot.

The actors who played Jake & Rachel haven't done too badly. I think Jake was in X-men
