The Silver Spike was one my favorite books in the series but I seem to be alone in that opinion.
I'll bet a lot of people tend to think of a favorite book in the series as exemplifying the series, or something like that. I really liked the occasional looks through outsiders' eyes, like Marron Shed, and the guys in the South (Blade's friends).

I read and liked the first omnibus. I own the 2nd (and 3rd?) but have yet to read it (them?).
