Yeah, I think Bob tells Harry something along the lines of "Listen, Little Chicago had a major flaw, it should have burned you out when you used it, but somehow it's fixed now."

And that stuff with Lash was all stuff Harry was at least aware of.


He isn't at first. It's when he becomes aware of it and still does it that he gets further mixed up with her. You need to go back and read that stuff over again.

That is, Lash has the capability to add Hellfire to Harry's spells as he casts them. She doesn't (that we've seen) have the capability to cast fire spells without Harry realizing.


And the Calvin and Hobbes thing is a complete throw away in my books... no significance other than an odd detail. And the fact that what half a dozen books have passed since, or more, your suggestion that he's planning some Harry needs to go back and stage all these minor details so that he can survive over and over again against the odds... seems a stretch for an idea for a book and one that is pretty long coming in that Butcher has stated that he is always evolving the story of Dresden.
