And a gazillion YA novels, most of which range from decent to very good. Never heard of Foyle's War...
I saw other books listed in the author bibliography, but I didn't know they were YA. I knew of Foyle's War because my ex is a big fan of BBC period dramas. It's a series about a home front British detective during World War II, facing domestic problems that still go on while the war is fought.
