The few Dickens I've read and finished, I read as a teenager.
I've tried many times since to read more. The problem is always the same. At the beginning, I'm enjoying a lot and stay motivated. Toward the middle or 2/3 mark, the fun starts to wane, I get eager to finish and a I struggle a lot and read less and less each day and it's like tons of other novels in the room are crying "read me", "read me". Then, I start reading one in parallel, with the firm intention of finishing the Dickens, and a few days later (or hours, even) it's there abandonned.
It's happened to me with "Tale", with Bleak House, with attempting to re read Oliver Twist (It's also happened to me reading the minor, but extremely long Dumas too, like Le Trou du Diable. And Jane Austen as well).
But I'll try again at some point this year. For the time it lasts, I always quite enjoy it.

I think I can safely say I'll read at least one "new" Dickens novel this year. Hopefully more.
