I own Lenin's Embalmers and have seen 101 More Uses for a Dead Cat often. Tom Send a noteboard - 13/07/2012 09:47:17 PM
Lenin's Embalmers is a fascinating book that examines the bizarre cult of embalming dead leaders and then displaying the mummies that arose in communist countries. It goes through the technical problems that the first embalmers faced, describes the underground "city" that is under every mausoleum and lists all the different communist leaders who are or were embalmed (though many have now been buried and the mausolea closed or dismantled).

101 More Uses for a Dead Cat is just a joke book. It was quite funny, but not worth spending money on.
Political correctness is the pettiest form of casuistry.

– Procopius
