I seem to prefer the shorter works because the longer ones have needless digressions that do little to advance the plot.


But the point of Dickens, as I see it, is not primarily the plot.

So what are your 3 favorite Dickens novels?

Bleak House, Our Mutual Friend and either Drood or A Tale of Two Cities (who can choose?).
