Do not, for the love of God, read Before Watchmen Stephen Send a noteboard - 02/09/2012 02:45:33 PM
It will taint your soul for all eternity.

I wasn't super impressed with the movie, but I heard the graphic novel was loads better so I thought I'd go ahead and give it a try since everyone says its so great. I'm enjoying it so far, but for whatever reason I only feel compelled to read it in really short bursts so I haven't made much progress relative to the time I've been reading it. Interesting.

As for Watchmen proper, I enjoyed it when I read it. It certainly loses some of its impact as its ideas and themes have been absorbed into a lot of mainstream comics over the last 25 or so years.
