I suspect Erikson will live up to your high standards...

Thing is he's never been what I would call an "Easy Read"-for which I thank the good lord. Most fantasy is written so a kindergartener can understand and follow the story; but I'm not This Many, and I enjoy a series where I sometimes have to stop and either re-read what I've read, or where I have to rethink plot points...

But, as with all of his books, you need to be patient...
