Dunno if you've heard of this guy, but in the (admittedly small) world of webcomics, he is a Big Deal. Without going too much into it, he's done a bunch of projects, and has a reputation for 1)Being a really nice guy 2) Coming up with cool ideas 3) Following through on said cool ideas.
So I definitely don't think this will be a "take the money and run" type thing.
And are successful, established people who make their living on art and writing, so I don't think they are chancers who'll rabbit away the money.
