I'm reading Hardy (Far from the Madding Crowd) at the moment and while he is good, he's not on her level. Emma as the highest of the Austens is also interesting. I'm sure Rand doesn't deserve to be there, though considering how rabid her fans tend to be, it's a miracle she isn't even higher.
Looking at the top 15 or so, it's not a bad list though. All of those are books that, while we personally may not agree with their inclusion, are genuine big names. Even if I've read only three of them in their entirety (Paradise Lost, Lolita, War and Peace, and the last one at such a young age that I dare say most of it sailed over my head).
