Yes. That definitely doesn't say much for the maturity of Eddings' view on women... but it becomes something of a humourous thing later on, I don't know if it really counts as manipulative anymore when everyone involved knows perfectly well how it works, and Garion plays along just because she likes it that way.

I amuse myself.
