I never really liked NJO or the other major SW series..... Anonymous2000 Send a noteboard - 19/05/2013 04:09:56 AM

At the end of the day, you knew nothing was really going to happen. At most you would have a few non-movie deaths, but who cares.

View original postStover's Revenge of the Sith novelization s much better than the film and is good read before Rise of Darth Vader and after Labyrinth of Evil. They serve as an effective repair trilogy to the film.

I definitely agree with these recommendations. The novelizations of all 3 prequels are much, much better than the films. Also, Rise of DV was very good. It helped to cement what Lucas always said about Vader.....is was a hurt/broken shell of his former self, not an all-powerful super Jedi.

View original postAnd of course the Thrawn Trilogy, sort of a must read for any post-movies Star Wars Expanded Universe stuff.

Haven't read this in years.....perhaps it is time for a re-read!
