1602 and Joss Whedon's X-Men run were the last things I've read from Marvel, so they have fond places in my heart and let me forget about some of the dreck I read in the years before that. Really, after being spoiled by the Age of Apocalypse storyline as it was released when I was a teenager, I never felt that most of the stories that followed it ever lived up to what I wanted. Some of the stories in the Ultimate line might be the exceptions.
