That retcon is pretty terrible. The whole "Oops, we accidentally attacked humanity thing" does kind of break down a little if you think about it but that is pretty awful.

1. Bugger Homeworld being their most distant world, when common sense says that it would be right in the middle of their empire, and them having all their queens there (except an infant) rather than most.

Is that actually stated? I'm only going by Ender's Game, but I thought it was just that they sent the first fleet of spaceships to the homeworld, and thus they were slower, and took longer to get there.
