The concept sounds quite interesting.

I like serious fantasy. Wheel of Time was about the most non-serious type of stuff I've read. I think that is what appeals to me about worlds like Martin's, Bakkers and even Eriksons (Erikson is more fantastical but he also has good politics and good, unique characters).
The book has really good ratings on Goodreads. I'm going to bookmark it as I'm in the middle of a few other things currently, but I think I'll take a look at it. Do let us know with a review if you tackle it how it was. Thanks for sharing it.
