Anyway it sounds interesting and I think I might just bump it up the list to the next thing I read.

How do you feel it compares to 1984?, which a number of people I know have associated it with.

1984 and Brave New World address similar themes, but approach them differently. For example, where 1984 uses brainwashing as kind of a last resort for dissenting people, Brave New World uses it from birth to ensure minimal dissent, and instead of trying to reinforce the brainwashing when there is a dissenter, as in 1984, they are simply sent off to an island. It is mentioned in Brave New World that the most interesting people are on islands because they are populated by those who show individuality. Another example is how sexuality is shown. In 1984 sex is for reproduction only, and promiscuity rare in the educated populations. In Brave New World sexual promiscuity is encouraged and expected, and contraceptives are required.

1984 and Brave New World provide a lot of good points for a compare/contrast paper, if I were still in school.

P.S. The "NSSP" is implied.

Of course, [Quixote] carried it a bit too far. He thought that every windmill was a giant. That's insane. But, thinking that they might be...
