Yes i would definitely like to know author's inspiration or how they came up with certain concept..like in fantasy books the magic system or the world. This especially holds true for books that i really like

I especially like it when their magic systems work differently from everyone else's.


Yes most definitely, so far i have found the magic system in Rune lord series to be most fascinating even though i have read only the first three books in that series. Some how gathering abilites from one person to another was very original and fresh instead of being born with it

Also Sanderson's warbreaker the concept of *breath* transfer along with people discriminating those who buy and sell it was very refreshing
