Arthurian Legend
The Art Of War
Various Ancient Tomes

Thats all I can think of right now, there is (obviously) alot more but these are the core. They can read them in whatever order they wish, beginning probably in their 13th year of living.
Also I'd never recommend Harry Potter so they will have to find that by themselves.
