From what I understand this is a major issue holding back the readers right now. The pictures/graphics involved in an academic book are typically so plentiful and complex that they can't be formatted correctly. I think that Research and Development has to be hard at work at this problem because like you and many others I would love to have digital copies of my textbooks and serious non-fiction.


At the moment they can only do black and white displays (at least at the high quality yet affordable level), plus the size of many e-readers would be too small for some of the larger images in some books.

Still if they could find a way around that it would be great
