For a Young Adult book it was pretty good, with a lot of references to a lot of classic works of literature in it. Fortunately I read most of those works refered too in the novel, but it did make me want to reread some of the ones mentioned.
The story jumps quite a bit, but its not overly distracting when it does so. The premise of it, I think is original, and fun. A great book to pickup for your teenagers. It might inspire them to pick up some of the classics mentioned within.
The pacing, aside the jumping, is pretty quick. There is a hint of suspense throughout. Some things are predictable, but not overly so. There are plenty of surprises. The ending was suspenseful to the end. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.
Given it is a young adult I'll give it 4/5 stars: for one reason, the jumpiness of it, and some repetiveness. Over all, very solid, and very original in my opinion.

The past is just that, the past. You can only truly live by looking to the future!
