The perceived hero is actually the villian. The perceived villian is actually the victim. The perceived victim is actually the hero. All played out over the course of 5 books. Very well done. Angus Thermopolye commits unspeakable crimes in Book 1 and yet by Book 5, you do really see him as a victim.
