I've seen a lot of books and video games that use it. I like it better anyways.
'Ser' was more widely used when knights actually had to go and kill people and perform heroic deeds to get knighted.
'Sir' feels like a lot more modern when the award is purely honorary, and Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen and Terry Pratchett aren't expected to engage in jousting to prove their worth. Although it would still be awesome if they did
I think Sir Ian would be better at jousting with the boys
The past is just that, the past. You can only truly live by looking to the future!
