so, basically i haven't had the desire to read anything for about 3 weeks now. i mean, read a book for fun, not the usual stuff i read on a daily basis (news, internet stuff, etc). has anyone here ever had the same? and what do you do to get around it? i'm kind of stuck right now...


I also have a few books on standby for this sort of thing. I've reread them so many times I know bits of them by heart. They range in quality from the very good - Pratchett, Marquez, Tolkien - to the very bad - Nora Roberts.

I used to read Harlequin at times like these, but it's been a while since I went that route. Mostly because I am very unwilling now to shell out for them.

So. Short stories, essay collections, old favourites. If you're trying something new, let it be short. And light-ish. :)

And of course... you could just not try. Leave it be for a while and you might get back to it. Or you might never get back to it? The horror. :O


you've inspired me to re-read my tolkein :D i think it's been at least a couple years so it's definitely time to revisit them...
