Book 8 has quite a bit of pontification

The parts where Kruppe is deep immersed in thought about the nature of society and such things. Still good though, but that was pontification I could do without. All the other philosophical "rambling" in the books I enjoyed and thought was totally appropriate, unlike the opinions of most people on the site, it seems.
