baseball and slow-pitch softball are not the same sport. At all. At all at all. Not even a little. I played baseball in college and play adult leagu baseball. We play on the old Sky Sox (Rockies AAA team) field. It's 410 to center and I can hit it out. Some friends wanted to play recreational softball and so I thought, sweet, I'll own. Not so much. We practiced yesterday and I either hit everything foul or off the end of the bat. I suck so far. Gah. Besides just trying to wait on the ball more, any other advice for hitting a softball? Anyone. I don't like sucking.

As you say, it's recreational, not competition like college ball (it really is, but you have to not think of it that way). Just be patient and see what happens. You're natural athletic ability will assert itself.

I play air tambourine. Competitively.

Swing with a slight upward arc like you're trying to pop out. *NM* - 13/05/2010 03:07:23 AM 171 Views
