The Daily Show (and its supporters) are very good at making fun of people in a way that advances their political agenda and then using the "it's just a comedy show" as a defense when responded to.

It's like saying A Modest Proposal is "just comedy." It really isn't. It uses comedy to achieve certain ends. The Daily Show is satire, which is innately political.

I usually enjoy watching the show, and I'm a sufficient part of the vast left-wing conspiracy that I usually support the agenda. I just don't think it's intellectually honest to go about fulfilling that agenda the way Stewart and his fans do.
