Why are there people out there asking people to sign petitions in support of this man? I've read this petition, and frankly it basically says that he's served his time (forty two days!) and should be let alone because his victim has asked to be left alone and asked that the whole thing be dropped - she's formally dropped charges? Something like that.

The more time this man spends in house arrest, the longer he is far away from drunken parties where young girls and boys, however willing or naive or in need of intimate validation, might come into contact with him...

Can someone tell me what those original psychiatric evaluations said, the ones that said he shouldn't be in jail? Prison time is as much punishment as safety precaution, and I'm not sure why he shouldn't be hounded the rest of his life. (Him, or any of them.)
