I'm pretty sure your link doesn't say that. I KNOW Macs can run Microsoft software; they pretty much have to given Microsofts marketshare (which is far broader than just Windows, though the OS market itself helps. ) That's kinda why they sued Microsoft over the same issue with DOS back in the mid-eighties. But Microsoft software runs PCs AND Macs; Apples only runs Macs. See the problem?
Mac: I'm a Mac.
PC: And I'M a PC.
Bill Gates: And I don't really give a flying fig because you're both running Windows.
Mac: I'm a Mac.

After Macs switched to Intel processing there were some hacks available to make them run on PCs.

Do you know why IT will not run virtualization? It is quite simple.

The really big bucks is in server software as every business needs server software to run databases.

Windows-only programs, presumably. Businesses use more than simple office products.

to use an oft-quoted phrase: "there's an app for that"

To use a not-so-oft-quoted phrase, "Not if it doesn't conform to Apple specifications."

the point is, that businesses are finding ways to make it work, even though they don't like it
