Given all the smoke and mirrors you surround the issue with. Apparently Health Care reform has gone from being far too much to nothing, eh? I don't trust your analysis or your numbers for the simple reason that I don't trust you. You have been nothing but blatantly partisan for as long as I have argued with you. I think you'd sooner explode than admit the potential positive to anything done under the Democrat label.
I imagine that is a two way street... were I to suddenly produce a chart showing that everything was going to be fine you wouldn't trust me because of my own biases, which is fair enough. But endless yammering about "OMG We're in debt!" Doesn't accomplish anything.
The issue is not THAT we are in debt, the issue is how, precisely, we are to get out of it. Conservatives, suddenly remembering that they are supposed to be small government, now call for a general cutting of anything that doesn't affect them, which Ironically enough involves cutting support to main street, rather than Wall Street, for all their cries in the opposite direction.
Our Economy is in a shambles. Obama's idea is to spend money to fix it, and expect that investment to pay off. May happen, may not. But the intention is a fix, not the random throwing around of money that some conservatives want to paint it as.

My point was that Japan's public debt is offset somewhat by its high level of private savings.
