at least not if you are planning to ever have kids. But as others have said it sounds like dirty heat sinks and fans. If you are not comfortable taking it apart yourself I wouldn't think a service center would charge to much to fix the problem. If it is still under warranty they may charge you nothing. If they try tell them the display has started going out.
