Permanent part-time to permanent full-time. Not the supervisor position, of course, but still good. For instance, I'm no longer on call Monday to Friday.
Unfortunately, it comes at a price. One of the best guards at my site was "fired" (I use the quotes because he still works for the company, but was removed from the site; basically, fired). It's shitty. He was the one guard I had the most in common with. I'm a nerd, he's a nerd – we once had a two hour conversation about time travel, touching multiple times on Terminator and how I think The Sarah Connor Chronicles completely ruined the established rules within the fiction. Then again, it's good because I'm going from 24 hours a week, plus whatever other shifts I can pick up during the week, to 44. Guaranteed $1300 cheque.
Also, will have Fridays and Saturdays off, which means I can actually interact with people again. Been about six months since I've been able to do that
Anyway, wanted to say this somewhere. So... there it is.
EDIT: The shift, by the way, is the graveyard shift. Long nights, and the Tim Horton's closes before I get to work (and I get to work an hour early).
