They update only to be seen. Some of their updates are horrible. And the crazy quiz takers who publish EVERYTHING. Come on. Show some self-restraint. If you're going to publish 10 quizzes in a row then realize I may unfriend you. The other option is to block you. And If I'm blocking you, why am I still friends with you on Facebook?

I think your question is the reason I don't like the article. I block quizzes like crazy, but seriously. If someone is annoying enough that I can't stand their updates, doesn't it just make more sense that I block them and their updates than to let that ruin a friendship? Not doing so is very lame on my part. But then, I tell my friends when they are annoying me, and I know some people can't do that.


It makes more sense to delete them than to keep them blocked. "Ruin" a friendship. Defriending them off of facebook - when it comes to people from wotmania and readandfindout - is not necessarily ruining a friendship. Im extremely careful about whom I friend in the first place. And if I find that I don't interact with them at all on Facebook, then I am going to delete them.

Imo, that sounds like you're not in the position of the author at all- you pare off the people you find uninteresting and/or annoying. I AGREE with you, which is why I think the article is stupid. Why suffer through things from your "friends" that bother you? Block or defriend, it's all the same to me- you've taken the responsibility to save yourself from the annoyance rather than continue to put yourself in a position you hate.
