I'm not 100% comfortable with giving them air time but if the BBC ignored a chance to show the other side of it when it was available 1st hand then it is really acting as a propaganda arm of the UK government instead of as an independent body.

The article linked does clearly show both sides of it - the journalist states he questioned the claims that civilian deaths were also caused by the Taliban and what the response to that was. Then there the comment on it by Ministry of Defence as well, so clearly they've set out to give a proper context to the interview and it goes with the reporting of the journalist's question to undermine the terrorist's claims.
