That it was a way of making it appear that their phone got excellent reception when compared to other phones, even if the reality is that it's no better than the other phones for reception.

And good god...the dropped calls I had on my iPhone...it made the thing damn near useless. Almost every time I used the phone I'd drop the call. I loved a lot about the phone, but I hated that I couldn't use it as a phone so often...and I live in an area where AT&T's network isn't over burdened. I can't imagine how bad it must be in places like San Francisco where they have a notoriously overburdened network.
