I really love my nook. I didn't think I'd like it as much as I do.


This is the response of everyone I've ever known to buy a dedicated e-reader. Every time I've gotten in an argument with someone about these devices, I ask "do you have one?" And I always get back, "well, no, but I've tried one, and it couldn't possibly replace the smell of stale glue!"

They take some time to get used to, but readers are teh bestest.

Now, if they'd just publish EVERYTHING in eFormat on day one....


As I say, that's definitely coming. Amazon already sells about 20% more ebooks than hardcover books, and the Kindle is (supposedly) one of their bestselling products. ebooks are absolutely here to stay, and it's just a matter of time before publishing companies recognize and fully embrace them. They're just cranky because they don't want to stop charging eight dollars for a book.
