It nearly scared me off buying the Evo myself. The truth is....it was waaaay overblown. I easily get a full day of use out of the phone without having to recharge it. The only time I find myself needing a charger is if I've been streaming lots of video or music over the internet, but I've experienced that with almost every phone I've owned.
