She said hi to him without actually knowing who he was then it registered and she shook his hand and made small talk. Shes not a big fan of his but I guess even if I ran into him randomly i would be a little star struck and shake his hand as well. so now the survey part.

I may have given him a nod or something, but I would not have been able to pretended that I didn't think he was the most catastrophic president in my lifetime.

Have you ever run into someone famous?

Not on the street, no. Only where you'd expect them like book fairs, concerts etc. or by working with them.
Who was it and where? How did you interact with them?

At the fairs and concerts I usually asked for autographs and enjoyed a little chat with the musicians about how they like their tour in Germany etc. You wouldn't have heard of them, by the way ;)
When I worked with a few, I kept it entirely professional and left them alone beyond that.
