Re: Now I'm curious, what kinds of statements gets people to call you a nazi? ßelals Girl Send a noteboard - 09/08/2010 03:18:42 AM
Just some of my political or historical perspectives. Taking the Germans' side in SOME of their actions in WWII or pointing out the utter hypocrisy and some of the brutalities of the so called "noble" Allies apparently means that I must support every single action the Nazis did in WWII, including putting Jews in the ovens 8} Meanwhile, my opponents can talk about the "Dresden Hog Roast" without so much as a raised eyebrow from a lot of people.

-Expressing concern about some of the socialistic and immigration policies in Europe gets me this as well. Obviously, since I disagree with socialism that must mean I want a fascist state, and since I disapprove of the unrestrained immigration into Germany, that must mean I think the Germans are superior people and don't want their pure aryan gene pool polluted by nasty brown people. That's not the case at all. I just want the Germans to EXIST, and letting in large numbers of another ethnic group that reproduces at a faster rate than the natives is NOT a good way to go about accomplishing that. I never thought I'd see the day when caring about the future of a group of natives in their own homeland makes me a monster.

But I've also accepted that if I want to get my perspectives out there more and help others understand them, I have to be able to withstand my opponents' hyperbole and scare tactics. I may hate them, but I just have to put up with Nazi comparisons. Good thing that, as I said, they are starting to lose their sting due to overuse.

Aren't you glad you asked? :P
