and at my church, ever once in a while something strange happens like this. However based on where we are located and everything, we have ushers (read: active duty, currently employed military & police) who are at the doors and such to ensure that things like this do not happen.
When something strange does take place, it is highly unusual. However what was funny was that we had a "jail break" from the toddler's room. The one teacher had to go to restroom, and her assistant just...I don't know, spaced?....well one of the kids got out. He didn't make a run for it to the front doors, but instead went into the main sanctuary and mid-service walked all the way down to the front where his mom and dad were sitting.
Everyone just smiled (except for his mom and dad). It wasn't disruptive at all, but it was amusing.
