20% of the country do not dislike him because he is a Muslim they refuse to give him they choose to believe he is a Muslim because they dislike him. His poll numbers would not budge if only 1% of the country thought he was a Muslim.

As opposed to liking him, hearing he's muslim and suddenly disliking him. He's probably right too, people invariably buy into all sorts of gibberish about the president if they dislike the guy, look at some of the insaner conspiracy theories about Bush or Clinton
