I'd like to think a single thoughtful message delivered well is better than ten thousand mini-comments.

You'll get absolutely no argument from me there, but I just don't think that facebook is the place to be if you're going to be offended by differing opinions or self-centered comments.;) But then, I might be backwards, because I spend a large portion of my day actively visiting a site full of dissention (and skipping crap I don't feel is worth my time). I like knowing the other viewpoint, even if I think it's ridiculous.

I'm wondering if it's because I have enough of an active non-computery life that I'm not there long enough to be annoyed AND I like to get that brief daily touch on my friends' lives, even if it's just to see that they had meatballs for dinner.
