In the Kamigata area, they have a sort of tiered lunch box they use for a single day when flower viewing. Upon returning, they throw them away, trampling them underfoot. As might be expected, this is one of my recollections of the capital. The end is important in all things.

My college chaplain was ordained by Bishop Robinson, so we managed a get-together with him and the Boston area chaplaincies. Being Episcopalians, everyone was too polite to be that person who sits at the Bishop's table.

I suffer from no such compunctions, so I dragged my friend over and we sat with him. It was great!

Though, to be fair, I've met the Dali Lama. He's also a very loving gent. That was just a quick meeting though.

I've wanted to meet him for a long time.
